Before even going, I was surprised at the haters already writing off this movie. Every James Cameron movie I have seen is ridiculous... Terminator, Terminator 2, Aliens... the list goes on. Even at the movie theater, a guy behind me talked for 20 minutes straight while waiting for the previews about how AVATAR is doomed because it wasn't even sold out (actually it was) and he knows because he has been in the movie industry for 10 years. He said James Cameron is in trouble if he is counting on word-of-mouth. Yeah, in trouble of making a hit! The crowd clapped very loud and for a while and you could feel the admiration. Even later that night, I was at a holiday party talking about the movie and 4 different people chimed in about how the story sucks, the graphics are okay and the whole movie is not good (mind you, these people have not seen the movie and it has only been out for 3 days). Amazing.<br /><br />All in all, if you want a great movie experience check out AVATAR but make sure you watch it in IMAX 3D... very impressive.
